Started working on the 1974 Honda Trail 70 K3
Ok...I have done a few steps ...quite a few steps and I have just now taken my first picture. Dang...oh well. I decided to not paint this bike right away and save a few hundred dollars. This bike had really messed up front forks so I ordered a pair from My Trail Buddy. I like the old retro look so I also got a pair of rubber fork covers. This bike didn't have a working headlight or speedometer and I like the 1970 combo unit so I procured one of them. I also got a new wiring harness, ignition set, rear tail light bracket and lense assembly, new tires and tubes, battery and tray, 12v to 6v conversion wiring, clutch cable, handle bars, grips, lights and kill switch combo unit, exhaust pipe and a brand new Lifan 125 motor. I have painted the wheels to match the other bike and had to trim the chain cover. The new engine is a lot bigger than the old 70cc Honda. Next on the list ..is to cut and reweld the exhaust mount location.
